Reviews:

"Break its endosymbiotic relationship from the visual side of the film and the music in each part holds up as it shifts through tension, moodiness, melancholy, anxiety, apprehension, despair and more in what is essentially a more downtempo and drone manifestation of the post metal found on their album or in The Auteur". - www.echoesanddust.com

Synopsis:

"Gabrielle is an actress. Or at least, she wants to be. She's hungry for a great role - the one that will change her life forever. Sabrina might have the answer Gabrielle has been looking for. But how far will she go in order to lose herself in this new character...and will she like what she finds? Sara's grim discovery, Celeste's lonely secret - this is where all of it begins. And where it will end."

Featuring a cast of ten actors, Part l: Gabrielle is a significant new work for us: an unnerving filmic experience which exemplifies our unconventional and idiosyncratic approach to telling stories through sound and image. The result of up to seventy hours of location shooting and roughly two hundred and fifty hours of editing, Part I: Gabrielle marks a turning point, not only completing the elaborate, fragmented narrative of the Disappearance In A Minor Role series but setting a new technical standard for our film work.

Incorporating over twenty minutes of original new music composed specifically for the film, Part I: Gabrielle is both the beginning and end to Disappearance In A Minor Role – answering many of the puzzling questions raised throughout the unfolding film series, while inevitably prompting some new ones.
